What you will do
Connect real customer problems to shared product structure and own the outcome.
The Core Engineer designs and advances the core technology and operating foundation of Search OS. You improve content delivery across search and AI environments, then turn data and automation into product improvements.
AI search readiness
Improve the product so content is delivered accurately and reliably across search and AI environments.
Data and automation
Connect product usage and outcome data to continuous improvement.
Many web environments
Design one stable product architecture across diverse web environments.
Responsibilities
Platform engineering
- Develop core capabilities that improve content delivery across search and AI environments.
- Design product systems that remain stable across diverse service environments.
- Build shared capabilities that reduce complexity in adoption and operations.
Data and optimization
- Develop reliable capabilities for product operations and outcome data.
- Create rules and AI automation that support repeated decisions and execution.
- Build product systems that apply improvements safely at scale.
Platform and infrastructure
- Improve deployment and operations for cloud-based products.
- Build monitoring, alerting, retry, and recovery paths that prevent repeated incidents.
- Turn field findings from FDEs into shared product capabilities.
Who we want to work with
- Production experience with modern web frameworks
- Hands-on understanding of containers and CI/CD
- Can trace network and web-infrastructure problems through code and operations
- Uses AI agents and AI development tools in real engineering work
- Thinks about the structure and outcome of the whole product
Helpful experience
- Web backend or data-service development
- Automated deployment and production operations
- Large-scale data collection systems
- Large-scale service design
- Monitoring and alerting systems
- Understanding of search engines, crawlers, SEO/GEO, or AI search
